Party on at the Weber Dems Caucus Meetings!

Dear Weber Dems,
A very important date is coming up: the March 23 caucus meetings. These meetings are the backbone of our party; it’s the place where neighbors come together as Democrats to get a look at candidates, elect precinct officers, and select delegates to the county and state conventions. It’s also the place where folks get off the sidelines and get involved. My life as an active Democrat and twice candidate for office started in the home of Doug and Randi Post of Plain City during the March 2002 caucus meetings. Doug and Randi were tragically killed in a car accident a few years ago, but they live on in their enthusiasm about our party and our values.
Our success this year starts with getting a good turnout to our caucus meetings. How can we do that? The Executive Committee would like to try something that hasn’t been done in a long time: we’d like to send a postcard invitation to every registered Democrat in Weber County! Here’s the rub: Postcards and postage costs money.
Here’s our proposal. We have around 10,000 registered Democrats in Weber County. $20 will buy about 50 postcards, including postage. The arithmetic is simple. If we could get 200 people to donate $20 each, we can make this happen. Some can’t give that much; we understand. Do what you can. Some can give a little more. But if 200 of us step forward and participate, we can turn the caucus meetings this March into a party we will all remember!
