Volunteer Opportunity

Dear Weber Dems,

Well, folks, two years of preparation come down to the next two months. We have the candidates, we have Peter Corroon at the top of the ticket, we have the support of the state party in targeting Weber County for a massive get-out-the-vote effort, and we have an off-year election where turnout will be low and the team that works the hardest to get out their voters usually wins. Now we just need to push for the finish line.

Our candidates have a goal to knock on 15,000 doors in Weber County this season. This is being organized geographically by legislative district. In support of this effort, we have printed 15,000 Voter Information booklets. We just need to get these into the hands of the voters. We will be using the latest computerized databases to try to target those voters who will be most open to persuasion. The message at the door will be simple: We respect your right to vote for whoever you feel will best represent you. But we ask that you look at each one of these candidates individually. We think you will like what you see.

How can you help? Simply contact the candidate from the legislative district you live in and volunteer. One night a week or a Saturday morning from just a few dozen volunteers will help us to easily get this done.

Are you as angry as I am about the deception, the nastiness, and the outright wackiness we’ve seen from the other side the last two years? Worried about what will happen to our nation and our state if those guys gain even more control over our lives? Here’s your chance to do something besides complain. And it will not be in vain. With Peter Corroon leading the charge, we can win this year.
